Complete end-to-end CGI workflow, from concept development to final image delivery. Combining modelling, material development, lighting, rendering, compositing and post production, each project is crafted with focus on realism, detail and visual story telling. Whether creative photorealistic product imagery, automotive renders or creative conceptual visualisiations, CGI offers complete control beyond the limitations of traditional photography.

From the first vertex to the final polygon, every object is crafted with care and attention to detail. Modelling is as much a creative discipline as lighting, shading, or rendering, forming the foundation of the final image.

The process is rarely linear; ideas evolve, shapes are refined, and unexpected discoveries often influence the outcome. Sometimes what begins as a mistake becomes an integral part of the design, helping to shape the final result in ways that could not have been planned from the outset.

Material creation is often what separates an inexperience artist from a seasoned one. Carefully crafted materials and shaders give objects weight, presence and realism.

Diffuse colour, roughness, refraction, ambient occlusion and countless other properties must work together in harmony to create surfaces that are believable and behave in a physically accurate manner.

The smallest details often make the biggest difference. Intentional imperfections and surface variation help bring authenticity to an image. It is a discipline that combines technical understanding with artistic judgement, and a crucial stage in any CGI pipeline.

Lighting is where a scene truly comes to life. Here, the real world experience truly pays off. It's often easy to recognise when a CGI artist has a background in photography or cinematography. Those disciplines develop an understanding of light, composition and atmosphere allowing even the simplest scene to be elevated into something engaging and viusally compeling.

As architect Louis Kahn famously observed, "The sun never knew how great it was until it hit the side of a building." The same principle applies to CGI: light reveals form, gives materials their character, and transforms a digital model into a believable image.

Post-production is where a CGI image is truly refined. While the software provides a high level of control, it is not always possible to achieve the desired result directly from the engine. In many cases, it is more efficient and effective to complete the image in post, correcting imperfections, enhancing lighting and textures, refining colour, or combining multiple renders into a single cohesive final image.

This stage is where experience in high-end retouching becomes particularly valuable. The ability to make precise, editorial-level adjustments, balance tones, and unify disparate elements into a seamless composition is what brings clarity and intention to the final image.

Skilled artist can shape mood and elevate the overall result through careful grading and finishing decisions. It is a crucial stage in any pipeline and should be considered from the earliest stages of a project.
